Mr. Everett Eugene Hatmaker, II of Verona, KY. passed away Friday, September 11 in Verona from injuries he received in a motorcycle accident.  Mr. Hatmaker, or "Ebby" as he was known to friends and family was born July 7, 1972 in Madison, IN. to Rose Abbott Hatmaker and Everett Eugene Hatmaker.  Ebby was a maintenance employee for the Carroll County, KY. school system and a member of the Southfork Christian Church, Verona, KY.  Ebby was passionate about motorcycles, coin collecting and knife collecting.  He is most fondly remembered by his family for his love and devotion to his children and grandson.  He was involved with their sports activities and served on the youth football league board and served as a little league coach.

Ebby is survived by his wife, Sarah Hutchinson Hatmaker.  He and Sarah were married on June 21, 2003.  He is also survived by his sons: Anthony Everett Hatmaker of Louisville, KY., Dustin Hutchinson of New York, Everett Hatmaker, III (better known as Trey) of Verona, KY., Ayden Hatmaker of Verona, KY., his grandson: Jedediah Hatmaker of Louisville, KY., his parents: Everett E. and Rose Abbott Hatmaker of Verona, KY., brothers: Gene Hatmaker and his wife Sandy of Mason, OH., Everett Sonny Hatmaker and his wife Sheila of Pikeville, KY., sisters: Carrie Smith and her husband Dwayne of Pendleton, KY., Angie (Allan) Hatmaker of Harrison, OH., Megan Forst of Bellevue, KY., Chrissy McCarter and her husband Shane, Bridget Lilly and her husband Steve of Dry Ridge, KY.

Funeral services for Ebby will be conducted 1:00 pm Wednesday, September 16 at the Southfork Christian Church , 14896 South Fork Church Road, Verona, KY. 41092 with Rev. Bob Hightchew officiating.  Visitation will be Tuesday, September 15 from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm also at the Southfork Christian Church , 14896 South Fork Church Road, Verona, KY. 41092.  There will be additional visitation time on Wednesday from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm at the church.  Burial will be in the New Bethel Cemetery, Verona, KY.  If memorial contributions are desired they may be directed to the Southfork Christian Church.
