Farris Sandlin

Farris Sandlin , of Williamstown, KY, passed away Saturday September 16, 2023 at his residence, one day after his 83rd birthday. Born September 15, 1940 in Clay County, KY, he was the son of the late George and Ida Sims Sandlin.

Farris was a self-employed painter; he love playing cards with his brothers and sisters, dancing, music, joking and telling stories of the past, but he will best be remembered for his love for family, who was always first and foremost in his life,  frequently referring to them as “My People”. Being the baby of his ten siblings, he loved ”being taken care of”.

He is survived by three sons: Farris Sandlin, Jr., of Williamstown, Dennis Sandlin of Dry Ridge, Daniel Lee Sandlin of Williamstown; one daughter: Teena Sandlin of Dry Ridge; one sister: Lilly Brown of Williamstown, along with eight grandchildren.  Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Visitation will be Tuesday September 19, 2023 at Stanley Funeral Homes – Williamstown from 11:00 a.m. till 1:00 p.m.  Funeral services will begin at 1:00 with Pastor Josh Cummins officiating.  Burial will be Wednesday afternoon September 20th at 3:00 at Deerfield Cemetery, 5594 Shawhan Road, South Lebanon, OH  45065.
