Faywood Blackburn Taylor was born March 14, 1929 in Dry Ridge, Kentucky and passed away March 19, 2021 in Williamstown, Kentucky at the age of 92. She was the daughter of the late Kell Bannie and Mary Sue Pettit Blackburn.
On Sept. 10, 1949 Faywood was united in marriage to Ralph "Babe" Taylor. In addition to her husband of almost 72 years, she is survived by 2 sons: Tom Taylor of Clay City and Bob (Cathy) Taylor of Lakeside Park; 2 daughters: Rachel (BJ Richardson) Taylor of Dry Ridge and Rita Taylor of Pinellas Park, FL; 6 grandchildren: Adam (Mallory) Taylor, Alex Taylor, Emily (Joe) Monk, Jenka (Kyle) Conrad, Jenna (Chris) Duncan and Katelyn Taylor; and 10 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law: Glenda Taylor.
Faywood was a member of the Dry Ridge Baptist Church. She was also a homemaker, member of the WHS Class of 1947 and a Kentucky Colonel. She dearly loved her family and spending time with them.
Funeral services will be 3:00 PM, Monday, March 22, 2021 at Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home in Williamstown. Visitation will be 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM Monday. Burial will follow in the New Vine Run Cemetery in Dry Ridge.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the St. Elizabeth Hospice.
