Louise Henry Bivens

Mrs. Flora Louise Henry Bivens, a Florence resident, passed away on Friday, June 10, 2022 at the Select Specialty Hospital at the age of 85.  She was survived by her husband Kennett "Ken" Bivens.

Louise was born on November 30, 1936 to the late Roy and Blanche Marksberry Henry.  She worked for 15 years as a waitress with the Burns Brothers Truck Stop Union 76.  She then went on to work with her husband for 20 years as a truck driver team for long western hauls.  She was a member of the Crosspoint Baptist Church in Crittenden, KY.  Louise was a seamstress, made crafts, was a Cincinnati Reds fan and loved to work in her flower and vegetable gardens.  She was known for her cooking and baking skills but most of all, she loved to spend time with her grandchildren.

In addition to her husband Ken, Louise is survived two sons, Kerry Garnett (Sherry), Kevin Garnett, three step sons, Kennett "Alex" Bivens, Jr., Paul Bivens, John William Bivens, a special aunt Theresa Henry, 13 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.  Louise was preceded in death by one son, Jeffrey Garnett, three brothers, Buford "Boots" Henry, Marvin Henry and Harold Henry.

Visitation will be Friday, June 17, 2022 from 10am-12pm at the Elliston Stanley Funeral Home in Williamstown, KY.  Funeral services will be at 12 noon.  Bro. Bill Page will be officiating services.  Burial will follow at 1pm in the KY Veteran's Cemetery, North, Williamstown, KY.  Memorials are suggested to the Stanley Funeral Homes.
