Floyd Richard Delaney

Mr. Floyd Richard Delaney, a Dry Ridge resident, passed away at the St. Elizabeth Hospital in Florence, KY on Sunday, October 31, 2021 at the age of 80.

Floyd was born on November 2, 1940 in Corinth, KY to the late Carl Delaney and Loucinda Lay Delaney.

Mr. Delaney was a forklift operator for over 30 years for Lasco Composites in Florence, KY.  He was a member of the Corinth Baptist Church.  He loved bowling, watching wrestling and spending family time with his grandchildren.

Floyd is survived by two sons, Richard Delaney (Heather), Steven Ray Dallas, one daughter, Vicki Merrill (Elmer), two sisters, Rosie Mulligan, Betty Richardson, four grandchildren and five great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by two sisters, Eva Mae Switzer, Sarah Edith Sammonds and his beloved pet dog, Cinnamon Bear.

Visitation will be Thursday, November 4, 2021 from 12noon to 2pm at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Corinth, KY.  Funeral will be at 2pm.  Burial will follow at the Corinth Cemetery.  Bro. Jim Sears will be officiating services.  Memorials are suggested to the funeral home.
