Francine Vance, age 71, loving mother of too many to count, a fierce lover of a good laugh and intense card game. Sometimes we are lucky enough to be blessed by the presence of those with the wisdom of life and the ability to love others as Jesus did. No one could out cook, clean, or love like her. Francine could comfort you, dust you off and send you on a new mission in better shape before you even noticed. She had 3 children, 11 grandchildren (5 of which she raised), and 5 great-grandchildren. She was adored as Gigi with all the card tricks and the best snacks around. Francine had many brothers and one sister growing up in an army family. She always loved this country and believed in the dreams that come from it.
This earth will not be the same without you, the courageous woman that made ripples within others that resulted in oceans of change. You were what the world needed, you cared for those no one else would. I am thankful for all you poured into everyone else and I wish it would have not left you so drained. This world is a harsh one, yet you were warm and full of light. The world that begs for children to be born is not ready to feed, clothe and shelter them, you always were. I love you, Grandma, I hope you ripped that oxygen off like a too-tight bra, fried some chicken, and enjoyed the gentle breeze of paradise. Hug Krista, kiss my babies and say hello to your parents. It will never be the same without you, but we are all thankful for the love you taught us.
She showed me love and compassion that I will cherish for a lifetime. To my loving grandma who was not only the bravest, funniest woman I’ll ever meet, but my best friend who listened laughed, cried, and loved with her whole heart. I will love and miss you to the moon and back forever. -Evie
From Frances:
And when our year has ended
And I have gone away
You’ll often speak about me
And this is what you'll say
We sang in the sunshine
You know we laughed everyday
We sang in the sunshine
Then you went on your way
