Fred Allen Gross

Fred Allen Gross was born February 26, 1939 in Grant County, Kentucky and passed away December 4, 2020 in Edgewood, Kentucky at the age of 81.  He was the son of the late Riley and Lacie Mae Davis Gross.

Fred was a retired Truck Driver with Consolidated Forwarding in Cincinnati.  He was a member of the Glencoe Baptist Church and former member of Local 100 Teamsters Union.  He loved mowing and hanging out with friends at local area restaurants.

Fred was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Faye Pipes Gross, in 1989.  In addition to his wife Fred was preceded in death a stepdaughter: Ginger Neighbor; a brother: Paul Gross; and a sister: Virgie Davis.

He is survived by his son: Vernon Ray Gross (Tina) of Ghent; a stepson: Paul Rogers of Florence; 2 stepdaughters: Sherry McDaniel of Alexandria and Candy Placke of Richmond; 2 brothers: Alvin Gross of Mustang, OK and Louie Gross of Florence, KY;  3 grandchildren: Tyler Gross, Mallory Gross and Lacie Gross; 3 great grandchildren: Paisley Gross, Payton Gross and Parker Gross;  11 step grandchildren; and several step great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM, Thursday, December 10 at Hamilton-Stanley Funeral Home, Verona.  Visitation will be 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at the funeral home.  Burial will be in the New Vine Run Cemetery in Dry Ridge.  Due to COVID19 restrictions services will be private.
