Fred Winfield Stubbs

Fred Winfield Stubbs of Corinth, KY. passed away Thursday, November 29 at the Dover Manor Nursing Home in Georgetown, KY. at the age of 93. Mr. Stubbs was born August 28, 1925 in Scott County, KY. to the late Roy Stubbs and Effie New Stubbs. Mr. Stubbs was a retired farmer and a member of the Stonewall First Church of God. Mr. Stubbs proudly served his country in the United States Army during World War II and served in Europe. Upon returning home Mr. Stubbs married Wilma Jones on November 23, 1957. Mr. Stubbs enjoyed tending to his garden.

Mr. Stubbs is survived by his wife of 61 years: Wilma Jones Stubbs, 2 sons: Anthony Stubbs of Corinth, KY., Michael Stubbs of Corinth, KY., a brother: Kenneth Stubbs of Mansfield, OH.

Funeral services for Mr. Fred Winfield Stubbs will be conducted 2:00 pm Sunday, December 2 in the chapel of the McDaniel Funeral Home, 440 Old Corinth-Owenton Road, Corinth, KY. 41010 with Rev. Tom Denney officiating. Visitation will be there on Saturday, December 1 from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Burial with military honors will be in the Corinth Cemetery.

Those serving as pallbearers will be: Mark Stubbs, Roy Allen Stubbs, Lloyd Jones, Daniel Jones, Chad Wright and Wes Sirles.
