Gail Nunemaker Marsh

Gail Nunemaker Marsh, age 88, of Verona, KY, passed away Sunday December 18, 2022 at her residence.  Born January 3, 1934 in Sassafras,(Knott Co.) KY, she was the daughter of the late Harry Allen and Nola Combs Nunemaker.

On October 6, 1956 at Walton Christian Church she was united in marriage to Harold Lee Marsh; he survives. She was a devoted housewife and homemaker who unselfishly gave of her love and passionate affection to her family; in later years she particularly devoted herself to the care of her husband of 66 years. She will fondly be remembered for her collection of Santa Clauses and cookbooks.  She was a member of Walton Christian Church.

She passes on her legacy of love to her husband, Harold Marsh; her daughter: Patricia (Michael) Mercer of Independence, KY; one brother: Edmund Ray (Wilma) Nunemaker of New Albany, IN; three sisters: Geneva (Connell) Polly of Hazard, KY, Violet (late Gene) Massey of Loveland, OH and Christine (Bill) Surless of New Albany, IN.  Also surviving are four grandchildren: Beckie, Laura, Joey and Ben along with four great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by a son: Michael Ray Marsh and a grandson: Jarod Richard Wilman.

Visitation will be Monday December 26, 2022 at Hamilton-Stanley Funeral Home – Verona from 11:00 a.m. till 2:00 p.m.  Funeral services will begin at 2:00 with Pastor Kevin Russell officiating.  Burial will follow in New Bethel Cemetery in Verona.
