Garry Wayne "Stretch" Petty, Sr.

Garry Wayne “Stretch” Petty, Sr ., of Corinth, KY, passed away Friday July 31, 2020 at St. Elizabeth Grant – E.R. Born in Indianapolis, IN on November 4, 1957, he was the son of the late William and Evelyn Davenport Petty.

On June 5, 2004, Garry was united in marriage to the former Judy Rae Wallace; she survives. He was the groundskeeper for Wainscott Farm in Corinth. He served our country in the United States Army. He was skilled in woodworking and used his talents in making all kinds of wood items. He also loved playing the guitar.

Survivors in addition to his wife, Judy, include two sons: Garry Wayne Petty, Jr. of Lexington, KY, Michael Lewis Petty of Jackson, KY; one daughter: Debra A. M. Petty of Nicholasville, KY; one brother: William C. "Bill" Petty and two sisters: Lisa Craddock and Lila Harper of Indianapolis, IN. Six grandchildren also survive: Brandon Thornton, Dustin Thornton, Brandi Thornton, Matthew Petty, Joshua Petty and Katie Petty, along with numerous nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by two brothers: Ralph "Jim" Petty and Randy Petty and one sister, Linda Spaw.

A memorial service will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
