Gary Wayne Robinson

Gary Wayne Robinson, 86, a Lexington, KY resident, formerly of Grant County, KY, died Tuesday January 24, 2023 at University of Kentucky Medical Center.  Born on October 7, 1936 in Dry Ridge, KY, he was the son of the late Everette and Rose Ella Robinson Robinson.

On February 4, 1983, Gary was united in marriage to the former Ruth Laverne Abney; she preceded him in death on March 25, 2014. He was a 1955 graduate of Dry Ridge High School. For 13 years he was the Grounds Keeper for Spring Grove Cemetery in Cincinnati.  He also worked as a Pest Control Technician with ABAC Pest Control and later worked in the Lawn and Garden Center at Wal-Mart in Lexington. He was a faithful member of Trinity Life Center in Lexington.

He leaves to carry on his legacy, three daughters: Cathy Watson of Bethel, OH, Linda (Tom) Browne of Elsmere, KY and Melissa Kells of Union, KY; one sister: Cara Belle Robinson of Lexington and six grandchildren: Cameron Kinman, Eric Kinman, Ryan Downey, Tyler Downnen, Drew Janszen and Joshua Janszen along with three great-grandchildren: Daisy Downey, Emily Downey and Elouise Downnen.

Visitation will be Friday January 27, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. till 12 Noon at Trinity Life Center, located at 1280 Higbee Mill Rd. Lexington, KY 40503.  Funeral services will begin at 12:00 with Rev. Bobby Stinnett officiating.  He will be laid to rest beside his late wife, Ruth, at Hill Crest Cemetery in Dry Ridge, KY.
