Gary John Yelton

Gary John Yelton was born Aug. 21, 1942 in Covington, KY and passed away May 2, 2023 in Crittenden, Kentucky at the age of 80.  He was the son of the late Margaret and William "Bill" Yelton, Sr.

Gary was a retired Diesel Mechanic for Ryder Trucking in Florence and was a Vietnam Veteran of the United States Navy.  In his free time he enjoyed fishing.  He also loved collecting trains, coins and belt buckles.  But, his favorite pastime was playing poker and would play with anyone that was willing.

Gary is survived by his son: Gary Yelton of Middletown, OH; 4 daughters: Valera Yelton of Bessmer, NC, Margaret Yelton of Gastonia, NC, Beth Yelton of  Cartersville, GA and Jeanie Howard of Middletown, OH; his girlfriend: Barbara Yelton of Walton; a brother: Randy Yelton of Lawrenceburg, IN; a sister: Beverly Stortz of Union; 12 Grandchildren; and 13 Great Grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Jack Yelton.

Visitation will be 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM, Monday, May 8, 2023 at Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home in Williamstown.  Funeral services will be 1:00 PM, Monday, at the funeral home.  Burial with military honors will be in Highlands Cemetery in Ft. Mitchell.
