Geneva Mardis Herron

Geneva Mardis Herron, of Williamstown, KY was born January 28, 1931 in Corinth, KY and died Friday, August 29, 2019 in Edgewood, KY at the age of 88.

She was the daughter of the late Clyde L. and Area Emmaline Cleveland Mardis. She was a homemaker and farmer, as well as being a former telephone operator and Wal-Mart employee. She was a member of the Violet Ridge Church of Christ and member of the Telephone Girls. On January 23, 1954 she was united in marriage to her husband, Paul Austin Herron who preceded her in death in 2016.

Surviving is 2 daughters, Donna Faye (Doug) Smith and Carol Jane Garrison both of Williamstown; 1 brother, Bernard Mardis of Williamstown; 3 grandchildren, Edward Wayne (Tonya) Smith, Emily Frances Garrison and Megan Christina Garrison all of Williamstown; 5 great-grandchildren, Taylor Lynn Smith, Johnathan Perkins, Shelby Perkins Charles Perkins and Carly Justice; and 1 great great-grandchild, Sabryn Justice.

Funeral services will be 11:30am Wednesday, September 4, 2019 at the Eckler-McDaniel Funeral Home followed by burial in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North. Visitation will be 4:00- 8:00pm Tuesday at the funeral home.

Memorial donations are suggested to the Violet Ridge Church of Christ or the Mt. Olivet Christian Church.
