George Brick Allen

Mr. George Brick Allen of Verona, KY. passed away Wednesday, August 7 at the Baptist Floyd Medical Center in New Albany, IN. at the age of 54.  George was born December 3, 1964 in Cincinnati, OH. to the late George William Allen and Diana Evans Allen.  George was a certified fork lift operator with 26 years of service at Firestone/Bridgestone Building Products.  George was a huge NASCAR fan and held season tickets at the Sparta Speedway since it's opening day.  He enjoyed collecting autographs and had a great many NASCAR driver autographs as well as various other notable people.

George is survived by an uncle: Gene Evans of Falmouth, KY., 3 aunts: Glenda Evans of Falmouth, KY., Fern Evans of Williamstown, KY., Patricia Elder of Sellersburg, IN. and he has several cousins.

Funeral services for George Brick Allen will be conducted 1:00 pm Saturday, August 10 in the chapel of the Hamilton-Stanley Funeral Home, 14635 Walton-Verona Road, Verona, KY. 41092 with Bro. Landon Scott officiating.  Visitation will also be on Saturday, August 10 from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm.  Burial will be in the New Bethel Cemetery.
