George Sosack , 88, a Williamstown resident, formerly of Beaver County, PA, passed away Friday morning October 18, 2019 at his residence after a lengthy illness. Born September 27, 1931, in McKees Rocks, PA, he was the son of the late Joseph and Mary Smith Sosack.
On April 25, 1983, George was united in marriage to the former Stephanie Mary Gimbus. For much of his adult life, he worked for Crucible Steel Mills in Midland, PA, primarily as a forklift operator. He was a card carrying member of the U.S. Steel Union #1212. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. Among his hobbies, he was an avid hunter, fisherman, trapper and loved camping and enjoying the outdoors; especially along the Blue Ridge Parkway. For many years he sold his furs to Sears & Roebuck.
Survivors include his wife: Stephanie Mary Sosack; three sons: Steve Sosack of Irondale, OH, George Sosack, Jr. of Columbiana, OH, James Sosack of Wellsville, OH; two daughters: Debra Sosack of East Liverpool, OH and Vickie Sosack Moss of Boardman, OH. Several grandchildren and great-grandchildren also survive along with numerous nieces and nephews.
A private memorial service will be conducted at a later date at the convenience of the family.

Stanley Funeral Homes has been entrusted with handling Mr. Sosack’s arrangements.
