Glenda Lee Steurer

Glenda Lee Steurer , 67, a resident of Dry Ridge, passed away Friday October 18, 2019 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center – Edgewood, after an extended illness. Born Tuesday September 2, 1952, in Cicinnati, OH, she was the daughter of the late Charlie and Retha Mays Powell.

On March 14, 2001, she was united in marriage to Gary Lee Steurer in Williamstown, KY. She was a bus monitor and cafeteria worker for the Grant Co. Board of Education and had also worked in the housekeeping department of the Greater Cincinnati Airport (CVG). For many years she worked in Pic-Pak at Levi Strauss.

Glenda had a special love for her family; she loved spending time with her grandchildren, whom affectionately knew her and loved her as “Mamaw”. She loved her church family at Antioch Church of Christ, of which she was a member.

In addition to her husband, Gary, she leaves to mourn her passing, one daughter: Sherry Lee Pingleton of Hebron, KY; one brother: Donald (Shirley) Powell of Whitley City, KY and one sister: Wilma Smith of Florence, KY. Three grandchildren also survive: Danielle Pingleton, Courtney Howard and Chloe Jefferson; along with a very special friend, her Shi-tzu dog, “Lee Kay”. She was preceded in death by a daughter: Tammy Kay Pingleton and a brother: Johnny Blankenship.

Visitation will be Tuesday October 22, 2019 at Elliston – Stanley Funeral Homes, Crittenden location, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 with Bro. Devin Hurley officiating.

Burial will follow in New Bethel Cemetery in Verona.
