Corine Hammond

Effie Corine Ford Hammond was born May 11, 1930 in Grant County, Kentucky and passed away Feb. 27, 2022 at her residence in Dry Ridge, Kentucky at the age of 91.  She was the daughter of the late William and Ira Roland Ford.

On June 11, 1948, Corine was united in marriage to Eugene Hammond, who preceded her in death on Dec. 23, 2021.  She is survived by 2 daughters: Vicki Cull of Dry Ridge and Sandy (Tom) Jump of Dry Ridge; a son: David (Linda) Hammond of Dry Ridge; a sister: June (Earl) Weatherford of Florence; 8 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; and 8 great great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband of 73 years, Corine was also preceded in death by 2 brother: Blaine and Claude Ford, and 2 sisters: Mary Lewis and Norma Good.

She worked in customer service for many years with Grant County Farm Supply as well as IGA in Dry Ridge.

Corine leaves an amazing legacy of servant leadership for her family to carry on.  She was a founding member of First Love Church in Dry Ridge where she taught Sunday School and worked in the kitchen for many fellowship and bereavement meals.  She also demonstrated what it looked like to read and study her Bible daily and praying for her church family.  She also loved reading in general, cooking and going to yard sales.  Corine loved her family and her church family dearly.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM, Thursday, March 3, 2022 at Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home in Williamstown.  Visitation will be 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM, Thursday at the funeral home.  Burial will follow in the Hill Crest Cemetery in Dry Ridge.
