Harry Davis of Dry Ridge, Kentucky, passed away at St. Elizabeth Hospital of Florence on Sunday, December 25th, 2022, at the age of 55. He was born in Hamilton, Ohio on Wednesday, September 27th, 1967, to the late Harry Ray and Carol Sue Davis. His mother meant everything to him, a true “Mamma’s Boy”, one whose broken heart never truly mended after her passing in 2010. Along with his parents, Harry is preceded in death by two of his children, Jennifer Davis and Christopher Davis.
Harry could be described as a handful by those closest to him, but was the true epitome of a heart of gold. He cherished all of his family, loving them unconditionally and always protecting them. If anyone messed with his loved ones he handled it. He had a knack for cooking, and he enjoyed being able to create delicious things for his family. They will greatly miss sitting down to his famous chicken & dumplings and fried potatoes.
Harry adored ice cream, even in the winter, Neapolitan being his favorite. His favorite color was red, and he treasured the music that became the soundtrack to his life- you could always find him with his headphones in. His favorite game to watch was football, his teams being the Cincinnati Bengals and Tennessee Titans; a true fan, with a Bengals’ “B” tattooed on his arm. He was a sleepy guy, those closest to him always finding him snoozing, whether it be in his brother’s laundry basket or out on a beach. One of their most memorable trips together as a family was to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. There Harry had the opportunity to partake in some of his greatest joys in life- tanning, catching some z’s under the sun, sipping a brew- all while surrounded by those that he cared for most in life.
Harry is survived by his beloved wife, Kerri Davis. They celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary this past May. He is also survived by his adoring children: Kristi Davis, Matt Davis, Kayla Davis, Ryan Davis, Amber Davis, and Brilee Davis; as well as his two brothers, Ricky Davis of Summerville, OH, and Dennis Davis of Dry Ridge, KY. Harry leaves a legacy of his cherished grandchildren: Payten Davis, Marlee Marcum, Alivia Sparks, Brooklyn Smith, Huck, Asia, Mercy, and Avery.
Services for Harry will be conducted at a later date at the convenience of the family.
