Haskel Tharel "Buck" Gosser

April 26, 1940 — December 13, 2022

Haskel Tharel (Buck) Gosser age 82, a resident of Verona, KY passed away December 13,2022, peacefully at his residence. Buck was born April 26, 1940 in Casey County, KY to the late Haskel Lee Gosser and Gladys Edna (Gentian) Gosser.

Buck served in the Army from 1967-1970 as a staff sergeant. He received many medals and achieved many accomplishments. On July 5, 1967 Buck married the love of his life, Nevada, in Jelico, TN and on November, 30 1969 they welcomed their daughter Denise. Together Buck and Nevada built a strong foundation for their family. Buck devoted his life to ensuring that his wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were well taken care of. He taught them about life and how to work hard. He was stern with his words and wisdom of advice. He was a great influence to those around him.

Buck, a man of many talents, was a machinist and loved to work with his hands. He was an avid outdoorsmen and loved to farm. He enjoyed raising cattle, hay and tobacco.

In addition parents, Buck was proceeded in death by two brothers; Clifton Gosser, Rodger Gosser and one Grandson; Cody Lee Atha.

Buck is survived by his loving wife of 55 years. Nevada (Deaton) Gosser; one daughter Denise Gosser (Atha); one sister Mildred Brown; one Brother Phillip Gosser; two Grandchildren Greg "Bubby" (Khristian) Atha, Kristin (Caleb Hill) Atha and five Great- grandchildren: Gretchen, Brian, Landon, Mallery, Waylon.

Visitation will be Monday, December 19, 2022 from 11am-1pm at Hamilton - Stanley Funeral Home in Verona, KY. Funeral services will be at 1pm at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the New Bethel Cemetery.
