Helen G. James

Mrs. Helen G. James of Crittenden, KY. passed away Friday, December 14 at home at the age of 72.  Mrs. James was born February 25, 1946 in Jackson, KY. to the late Virgil Gabbard and Martha Deaton Gabbard.  Mrs. James was a retired trucking company dispatcher and she was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. James was preceded in death by brothers: Howard Gabbard, Carlton Gabbard and Charles E. Gabbard.  She was preceded in death by sisters: Christine Gabbard, Nancy Tolson, Fannie Gabbard, Kathleen Gabbard, Marie Gabbard and Ophie Gabbard.

Mrs. James is survived by her husband: Roger A. James, 2 daughters: Teresa Oswalt and her husband Jeffrey Lane Oswalt of Union, KY., Patricia Swanson and her husband Scott Swanson of West Chester, OH., a brother: J. B. Gabbard of North Vernon, IN., sisters: Evangeline Jones of West Liberty, KY., Elizabeth Roberts of Monticello, KY., Norma Gross of Seymour, IN., Anna Morris of Seymour, IN. Lois Brindley of Holly, MI., 6 grandchildren, Jeffrey Lane Oswalt, Jr., Derek Bohn, Rachel Oswalt, Emily Creech, Brandon Bohn, Morgan Oswalt and 3 great grandchildren Riley, Zoey, Olivia.

Graveside services and burial will be conducted 2:30 pm Saturday, December 22 at the Crittenden Cemetery.  Visitation prior to the graveside service will be from 12:00 noon - 2:00 pm in the chapel of the Eckler-McDaniel Funeral Home, 30 South Main Street, Dry Ridge, KY. 41035.
