Helen Scroggins Simpson

Helen Scroggins Simpson of Williamstown, KY was born April 28, 1934 in Dry Ridge, KY and passed away Sunday, June 19, 2022 in Williamstown at the age of 88. She was the daughter of the late Charlie Newton and Segerna Hutton Scroggins.

Helen served as the Williamstown Deputy City Clerk for the City of Williamstown from 1975-1996. She was a member of the Mt. Olivet Christian Church.

She is survived by a daughter, Valerie (Rusty) Strong of Dry Ridge; 3 grandchildren, Tyler (Elizabeth) Strong, Dylan Strong, and Summer Strong; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by 5 brothers, William Guy Scroggins, Clyde Scroggins, Sam Scroggins, Charles Scroggins and Junior Scroggins; and 4 sisters, Clarice Willoughby, Mary Hall, Laura Antrobus and Florence Henry.

Funeral services for Helen will be 2:00pm Friday, June 24, 2022 at the Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home, Williamstown followed by burial in the Williamstown Cemetery. Visitation will also be Friday 11:00am-2:00pm at the funeral home.
