Helena Bayer Scudder

Mrs. Helena Bayer Scudder, a Warsaw, KY resident and formerly of Columbia, TN, passed away at her residence on Saturday, March 19, 2022 at the age of 58.  She was the wife of Tony D. Scudder.

Helena was a claims examiner for Cigna Insurance.  She was a member of the Rock Springs Baptist Church.  She loved making crafts, crocheting, scrapbooking, watching western movies, the 3 Stooges, Looney Tunes cartoons, playing cards, board games and arranging flowers.

In addition to her husband Tony, Helena is survived by her mother, Betty Jones Bayer, three sisters, Theresa (Troy) Parker, Dora (Michael) McCord, Paula Lipari and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her father, Paul Bayer and her sister, Brenda Mitchell.

She was loved and admired by all who knew her for her kindness, compassion, selflessness and her sense of humor.  She will be deeply missed.

Visitation will be Friday, March 25, 2022 from 10am-12noon at the Hamilton - Stanley Funeral Home in Verona, KY.  Funeral services will be at 12 noon.  Burial will follow at the New Bethel Cemetery in Verona, KY.
