Homer "H" Taylor

August 1, 1936 — March 4, 2021

Homer “H” Taylor , 84, of Dry Ridge, KY, passed away Thursday March 4, 2021 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center – Florence.  Born Saturday August 1, 1936 in Covington, KY, he was the son of the late Homer Tandy and Amelia Mae Buck Taylor.

On November 19, 1955, Homer, affectionately known and loved by many as “H”, was united in marriage to the former Nancy Ann Grant; she survives.  He retired as a Ticket Agent with Trans World Airlines (TWA) at the Greater Cincinnati-Northern KY Airport (CVG). He was a graduate of Dixie High School; upon graduation he proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was an avid biker; he enjoyed riding his Gold Wing Bike long distance, particularly out west and camping with family and friends.  Upon retirement, he spent 35 years operating his small engine repair shop . He was a member of the Gold Wing Riders and Pisgah United Methodist Church.

Homer leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 66 years, Nancy Ann Taylor; one son: John Thomas Taylor; three daughters: Tandy Taylor, Cheryl Downs and Nancy Lee (Ann) Taylor, all of Dry Ridge, KY.  Three grandchildren also survive: Heather Riley, Danielle Dalton, Grant Downs, along with five great-grandchildren: Tyler Jenkins, Christopher Robbins, Trenton Dalton, Hunter Dalton and Bentley Downs, all of whom affectionately love him as “Gran Paw”.

Visitation will be Tuesday March 9, 2012 from 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. at Stanley Funeral Homes, Williamstown location.  Funeral services will begin at 12:30 with Pastor Tyler Edwards officiating.  Burial will follow at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery – North (KVC-N) with arrival time scheduled at 2 p.m.

Memorial contributions may be made in Mr. Taylor’s memory to Mt. Pisgah United Methodist Church.
