Howard W. Mckenney

Mr. Howard W. McKenney of Corinth, KY. passed away Friday, June 21 at his home following a long illness.  Mr. McKenney was born December 21, 1941 in Harrison County, KY. to the late Omer McKenney and Wilma Epperson McKenney.  Mr. McKenney retired from IBM, later Lexmark where he worked in printer repair.  He proudly served his country in the United States Army.  Mr. McKenney was interested in all things outdoors, fishing, hunting, and gardening.  He had a love for horses and dogs and was a passionate University of Kentucky basketball fan. At the time of his passing he still remained a member of the Friendship Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents Mr. McKenney was preceded in death by a sister: JoAnne McKenney who died as a child.

Mr. McKenney is survived by his wife: Judy Parr McKenney, a stepson: Jason Jones and his wife Anita of Corinth, KY., 2 stepdaughters: Jennifer Rader of Corinth, KY. and Kristi Gillispie of Crittenden, KY.  He has 6 step grandchildren: Brittany Feltner, Mariah Newman, Roman Gillispie, Coleman Gillispie, Cason Jones, Kirsten Gillispie, 4 step great granchildren: Royal Newman, Whitley Feltner, Lilliah Newman and Arroe Newman.

Funeral services for Mr. Howard W. McKenney will be conducted 2:00 pm Sunday, June 30 in the chapel of the McDaniel Funeral Home, 440 Old Corinth-Owenton Road, Corinth, KY. 41010 with Rev. Brad Vincent officiating.  Visitation will also be on Sunday, June 30 from 12:00 noon - 2:00 pm.  Burial will be in the Raven Creek Cemetery, Harrison County, KY.

Memorial contributions if desired may be directed to the American Diabetes Association or to the New Columbus Baptist Church.
