Howard Lee Smith

Howard Lee Smith , 79, died Saturday December 28, 2019 at Grant Center in Williamstown, KY.  Born on March 1, 1940, in Grant Co, KY, he was the son of the late James Buritt  and Mamie Lucille Cook Smith.

He was married to the former Alice K. Hensley; she preceded him in death on February 2, 2010.  Early in his life, before he became disabled, he worked in a record producing factory in Cincinnati; he also used his skills as a general laborer.  He proudly served his country in the U. S. Army. He was a member of the Harvest Apostolic Church in Williamstown, KY.

He leaves to mourn his passing one son: Charlie Smith of Keavy, (Laurel. Co.) KY; two brothers: James Edward Smith of Keavy, KY, Michael Oscar Smith of Erlanger, KY and two sisters: Brenda O'Dell of Broken Arrow, OK and Lilly Wills of Dry Ridge, KY.  One grandson also survives, Michael David Smith of Keavy, KY.  He was preceded in death by two brothers: Robert Franklin Smith, Edward Smith and one sister: Rosetta Girdler.

Visitation will be Thursday January 2, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at McDaniel Funeral Home in Corinth, KY. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 at the funeral home with Rev. Joshua Cummins officiating.  Burial will follow in the New Columbus Cemetery in Corinth.
