Imogene Vaughn of Crittenden, Kentucky

July 10, 1930 - November 8, 2018

Imogene Vaughn , 88 , widow of Roy Nuell Vaughn and resident of Crittenden, passed away at her residence on the morning of Thursday November 8, 2018. Born in Oklahoma, she was the daughter of the late Godfrey and Bonnie Davis.

On June 12, 1953, she was united in marriage to Roy Nuell Vaughn; he preceded her in death on Thursday September 15, 2016. A dedicated wife, mother and “grandma” ; her life centered around her love for her family. She retired from Crittenden-Mt. Zion Elementary School where she worked for many years in food service as a cook. Spending time in her garden maintaining her flowers was one of her main hobbies. She was a member of the Liberty Apostolic Church.

Survivors include one son: Denny (Rebecca) Vaughn of Crittenden; one daughter: Pamela (Bruce) Carnes of Dry Ridge and two brothers: Gerald Davis of Greensburg, KY and Malcom Davis of Campbellsville, KY. Four grandchildren also survive: Christen Smith, Danny Storey, Curtis Vaughn and Brittany Vaughn Davis, along with nine great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband of 64 years, she was preceded in death by three sons: David Vaughn, Douglas Vaughn and Ronald Vaughn; two daughters: Cathy Vaughn, Marcia Moore Vaughn; two brothers: Keith Davis, R. C. Davis and two sisters: Mary Underwood and Dorothy Finn.

Visitation will be Tuesday November 13, 2018 at Stanley Funeral Homes – Crittenden location, beginning at 11:00 a.m. and going until the time of the funeral at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow in the Hill Crest Cemetery in Dry Ridge, KY.
