Jackie Lee Smith

Jackie Lee Calhoun Smith, born January 20, 1966, in Lafayette, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on February 3, 2025, in Edgewood, Kentucky.  She was the daughter of the late Janette Calhoun.

Jackie was a dedicated assistant manager at Waffle House restaurant, where she formed lasting connections with her colleagues and customers.

Jackie had a profound love for children and cherished spending time with them. Her heart found joy in the warmth of the beach, the adventure of horseback riding, and the art of cooking classic Louisiana cuisine. Her beloved dog, Allie, was a source of companionship and happiness.

Jackie is survived by her significant other, Eddie Adams of Dry Ridge, Kentucky; her son Blake Baughman and his wife Jessica of Pearl River, Louisiana; her cherished grandchildren, Christopher Wall and Landon Baughman, her brothers Donnie Calhoun, Walter Calhoun; and her sister Annette Calhoun.

Jackie's vibrant spirit, love for life, and compassionate nature will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her legacy of kindness and joy lives on in the hearts of her family and friends.

A celebration of Jackie's life will be held at a later date at the convenience of her family.
