Jacqueline Rene Curtis

Mrs. Jacqueline Rene Kennett Curtis, an Independence resident, passed away at her residence on Monday, January 17, 2022 at the age of 63.  She was the wife of Garry David Curtis.

Rene was born on March 16, 1958 in Covington, KY to the late Clemoth Kennett and Maxine Scroggin Kennett.  She is a graduate of Holmes High School.  Rene married Garry Curtis on May 7, 1977.  She was a former purchasing agent for over 25 years.  She enjoyed traveling, vacationing, flower gardening, reading and cooking family meals.  She cherished the time she was able to spend with her grandchildren.

In addition to her husband Garry, she is survived by one daughter Amanda (Craig) Hutchison, 3 half sisters, Debbie Stokes of Florala, AL, Susie Womacks of Monroe Co., AL, Treasa McGee of Atmore, AL and two grandsons.

A celebration of life memorial service will be held by the family at a later date.  Once scheduled, it will be posted here.
