Janet Brewster Reed

Mrs. Janet Brewster Reed, a Cincinnati resident, passed away at the St. Elizabeth Hospice Center in Edgewood on July 25, 2024 at the age of 89.  She was the wife of Jim Reed.

Janet was born on May 16, 1935 to Pearl Brewster and Irene Howe.  She married James "Jim" Leland Reed, whom survives, in April of 1971.  Janet loved fishing, playing cards, bingo, watching the Cincinnati Reds and going to the beach.  She was a marvelous cook and known for her homemade chicken and dumplings.  She loved her cats, but most of all, spending time with her grandchildren.

In addition to her husband Jim of 53 years, Janet is survived by two sons, James L. Reed, Jr. of Florence, KY, Bill (Donna) Muncy of Engelwood, FL, two daughters, Irene Muncy of Latonia, KY, Melony (Edward) Rayborn of Florence, KY, a sister, Geraldine Purvis of Owenton, KY, sixteen grandchildren and twenty-two great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by two sons, Rick Brewster, John Muncy and one brother, John Edward Brewster.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be August 25, 2024, 1:30 PM - 4:30 PM.  It will be held at the American Legion Hall, 8385 US Hwy 42, Florence, KY  41042.
