Jama Michelle Penick

J ama Michelle Penick , 55, of Dry Ridge, KY, passed away on Wednesday February 28, 2024  at St. Elizabeth Medical Center – Edgewood.  Born on April 20, 1968 in Covington, KY, she was the daughter of Peggy Ann Price Penick and the late James William Penick.

In February of 2005, Jama was preceded in death by her husband, Steven Smith.  For many years, Jama was a dedicated and committed caregiver to many patients through in-home health care.  She was a graduate of Grant County High School. Being a music lover, she attended many concerts; she had a special love for Rock and Roll and was a huge Rolling Stones fan.  She was a member of the former Clark’s Creek Baptist Church.

In addition to her mother, Peggy Penick of Dry Ridge, she leaves to mourn her passing, three brothers: Tony Penick, Gregory “Rocky” Penick and Michael Shane Penick, all of Dry Ridge.

Immediate burial will take place on Monday March 11, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Hill Crest Cemetery in Dry Ridge.
