James Byrd

James Byrd of Dry Ridge, KY was born October 7, 1939 and died Friday, May 15, 2020 at his residence at the age of 80.

He was the son of the late Everett and Mary Adeline Gilford Byrd. He was a retired machinist for Andrew Jergens Co of Cincinnati, OH, a US Army Veteran, and a member of the Community Christian Church, Taylor Mill, KY. On September 5, 1992 he was united in marriage to his wife Carol Sue Hammons Byrd. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by a step-son Gary Wayne Huth in 2008, and 2 brothers, Raymond and Everett Byrd.

Surviving is his wife Carol Sue Byrd of Dry Ridge; 1 son, Brian Byrd of Bridgetown, OH; 3 daughters, Sandra Dilbeck of McClenny, FL, Deatrice Farmer of Bellevue, KY, Kimberly Riddell of Hebron, KY; 3 step-sons, Billy Fausz of Newport, KY, Don Neaves of Latonia, KY, and John Neaves of Dry Ridge, KY; 1 step-daughter, Terry Lynn Biegley of Latonia, KY; 27 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; 1 brother, Bobby Byrd of Dayton, KY; and 2 sisters, Judy (Desi) Donley of Dry Ridge, KY and Mae (Gary) Hafer of Walton, KY.

Funeral services will be 1:00pm Saturday, May 23, 2020 at the Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home, Williamstown, KY. Visitation will also be Saturday, May 23, 2020, 11:00am-1:00pm at the funeral home. Burial will be private for the family at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North at a later date.

Due to the current Covid-19 restrictions and the new reopening requirements we will be limiting our building occupancy to 33% of normal capacity, so please be prepared for a possible line as we will be monitoring the occupancy. We will also be strictly adhering to the 6 feet social distancing requirements. We also request that attendees please wear a face covering, if possible.
