James Daniel "Jay" Dixon

James Daniel “Jay” Dixon of Corinth, KY was born Monday, January 18, 1937 in Georgetown, KY and died Monday, October 7, 2019 in Florence, KY at the age of 82.

He was the son of the late Daniel and Christine Boykins Dixon, a U.S. Navy Veteran, a retired United States Postal Clerk in Cincinnati, OH as well as a former employee of Maytag in Erlanger, KY, and a member of the New Columbus Baptist Church. On November 29, 1957 He was united in marriage to his wife Caroline Adkins Dixon. James was preceded in death by 1 son Master Sergeant, Roger Allen Dixon.

In addition to his wife Caroline, also surviving is 3 son, Dan (Leta) Dixon of Corinth, Rex (Robin) Dixon of Tennessee, and Shawn (Sheli) Dixon of Georgetown; 7 grandchildren, Rex Edward Dixon Jr., Patrick James Dixon, Daniel Dixon, Amberly Dixon, Kelli Chapman, Danielle Dixon, and Isabella Dixon; and 9 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 1:00pm Thursday, October 10, 2019 at the New Columbus Baptist Church, Corinth, KY with burial to follow in the Oak Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will also be Thursday 11:00am-1:00pm at the church.
