James Edward Harless

James Edward Harless of Cynthiana, KY was born September 11, 1938 in Lee County, Virginia and died Friday, April 16, 2021 at his residence at the age of 82.

He was the son of the late Jessie and Myrtle Plesant Harless, and a farmer and construction worker. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by, 1 brother, Leonard Mike Harless of Berwind, WV; and 2 sisters, Willie Mae Fritz of Duffield, VA and Edith Mae Sparkman of Berwind, WV.

Surviving is his longtime girlfriend, Martha Canter of Cynthiana; 3 sons, Doug (Barbara) Harless of Corbin, KY, Mark (Sherry) Harless of Duffield, VA, Cody Wilburn of Corbin, KY; 1 daughter, Angie (Jason) Martin of Bowling Green, KY; 9 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; 3 sisters, Evelyn Fritz and Louise Kendziora both of Duffield, VA and Roberta Harless of Pennington Gap, VA; and 2 brothers, Brad Harless of North Carolina and Johnny Harless of Duffield, VA.

Funeral services will be at 2:00pm Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at the McDaniel Funeral Home, Corinth followed by burial in the Corinth Cemetery. Visitation will also be Tuesday 12:00pm-2:00pm at the funeral home.
