James Francis Morris, Jr. was born Jan. 14, 1962 in Springfield, OH and passed away July 15, 2022 in Williamstown, KY at the age of 60. He was the son of the late James Francis Morris, Sr. and Diann Crumpler Burlile.
On June 12, 2004 Jim was united in marriage to Mary Angenette "Ange" Aker Morris. In addition to his wife of 18 years he is survived by 3 sons: Ben (Amy) Morris of Erlanger, Brad Morris of Wilder and Michael (Angie) Kleckner of Mims, FL; 4 sisters: Jackie (Brad) Winner of Urbana, OH, Diann (Kenny) Stradling of Rocky Mountain, GA, Patricia (Wes) Beutler of Emmett, ID and Shirley Duhl of North Lewisburg, OH; and 5 grandchildren: Brendan, Riley, Liam, Lynnleigh and Augustine "Auggie" Morris.
Jim was Real Estate Broker with The Realty Place and was a member of the National Association of Realtors for 25 years. Before working in real estate he was Vice President of Champion Printing Company in Cincinnati. Jim worked hard at everything he was involved in. He served as Supervisor for the Soil and Water Conservation District in Grant County as well as a Commissioner for the Soil and Water Conservation District for the State of Kentucky Region 5.
In addition to his professional career Jim also enjoyed volunteering and touching lives in many ways. He was a member and volunteer with the Salvation Army and loved touching the lives of countless children throughout the community as a Baseball Coach with Grant County Little League. Jim was very passionate about his country and the Flag and enjoyed giving those who purchased a home a flag pole and flag for their new home. He will be remembered most for his generous heart. He was always looking for ways to help those in need, and most often helping through anonymous assistance. His generosity continued even after his passing as he was a tissue donor helping to give the gift of life.
Memorial services will be 6:00 PM, Thursday, July 21, 2022 at Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home in Crittenden. Visitation will be from 4:00-6:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are requested to the Grant County Little League to help cover registration and playing costs for those unable to afford them. Checks can be made to Grant County Little League, write "Jim Morris Memorial Fund" in the memo line. Donations can be mailed to Grant County Little League, P.O. Box 345, Dry Ridge, KY. 41035.
