James Bartlett Rose

Mr. James Bartlett Rose, a Corinth resident, passed away on Wednesday, August 9th, 2023 at the St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Edgewood, KY at the age of 88.

James was born on June 6, 1935 to the late Ethelbert and Golda Baker Rose.  He is survived by one son, Tony (Katherine) Rose of Berry, KY, one daughter Joy (Gary) Kelly of Corinth, KY, one brother Richard Rose of Frankfort, KY, two grandchildren Jesse (Rebecca) Pugh, Nicholas (Shaun) Kelly, two great grandchildren, Gracie and Aaron, several nieces, nephews and neighbors whom he loved as his own.  James was preceded in death by two brothers, Elton and Frankie Rose, and two sisters, Nora Cook and Gertrude Clifton.

James was a truck driver and carpenter most of his life and a member of the Corinth Baptist Church.  He loved farming, fishing, bird watching, attending yard sales, clogging, hunting, carpentry and making quilts and candy.  His family describes him as an easy going man whom was a people pleaser and never hesitated to drive friends or family anytime and anywhere.  He was remembered as one whom when asked to drive would always reply with "Let me get my shoes on.."  He was a true family man whom loved his grandchildren and loved to take day trips with friends and family.

A celebration of life memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family and announced here at a later date.
