James Edwin Scudder

Mr. James Edwin Scudder of Corinth, KY. passed away Wednesday, June 24 at Christ Hospital in Cincinnati, OH. at the age of 72.  Mr. Scudder was born January 11, 1948 in Covington, KY.  to the late Felix and Nancy Scudder.  Mr. Scudder retired in 1997 and his last working years was in production at Clarion in Walton, KY.  Mr. Scudder also formerly served as a state trooper with the Indiana State Police.  Mr. Scudder was a member of Berry Baptist Church and is fondly remembered by his family for being able to fix anything.  An accomplished woodworker and carpenter, Mr. Scudder built the home he and his wife lived in.  He loved working in his garage and kept everything organized and immaculate.

On June 20, 1991 Mr. Scudder married Marcella Dyer Scudder and he is survived by his wife of 29 years.  He is also survived by 2 daughters: Crystal Scudder and Jamie Scudder both of Illinois and 3 stepdaughters: Paula Malone and her husband Matt of Corinth, KY., Pamela Baxter of Cynthiana, KY., Lori Lynn and her husband Rob of Berry, KY., 8 grandchildren and a nephew: Anthony Czernek and his wife Klaudia of Illinois.

Funeral services for Mr. James Edwin Scudder will be conducted 1:00 pm Wednesday, July 1 in the chapel of the McDaniel Funeral Home, 440 Old Corinth-Owenton Road, Corinth, KY. 41010 with Bro. Carl Morton officiating.  Visitation will also be Wednesday, July 1 from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm.  Burial will be in the Morgan Cemetery, Pendleton County, KY.  Memorial contributions if desired may be directed to the family of James Edwin Scudder in care of the funeral home.
