James David Stricker

James David Stricker, 90, of Dry Ridge, KY passed away on June 19, 2023, in Summerfield, FL. surrounded by his children and sister. James was born on August 22, 1932, to the late Joseph Herman and Gladys (Himes) Stricker in Covington, KY. James was a Veteran of the United States Navy and worked as an automotive parts salesman in Grant County, KY for over two decades. On Oct. 25, 1952, James was united in marriage to Dorothy Selma Reusch. James and Dorothy celebrated 62 years of marriage days before her passing in 2014. He is survived by two sons: David Stricker, Sr. (Linda) of Florence, KY and Michael Stricker of Belleview, FL; three daughters: Jenny Coldiron (Eugene) of Summerfield, FL, Cindy Wright of Dry Ridge, KY, and Cheryl Cleveland of Lexington, KY; 24 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren. He is survived by his sister, Beverly Durham of Nashville, IN, and many nieces and nephews. James was preceded in death by a brother Donald Stricker and two sisters, Patricia Manning and Mary Swarthwood. A private ceremony for the family will be at the VA cemetery. A Celebration of Life will be held on July 15, 2:00 – 5:00 at First Love Community Fellowship, 930 Curry Ln, Dry Ridge, KY.
