Jamie Douglas "Jd" Russell

Jamie Douglas “JD” Russell, 29, of Florence, KY, passed away unexpectedly on March 22, 2025 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center - Florence.  Born on September 11, 1995 in Hamilton, Ohio, he was the son of Jamie Brian and Sonja Lanette Campbell Russell.

“JD’ was a 2012 graduate of Grant Co. High School. Most recently he worked as a warehouse employee for FedEx.  He loved all sporting adventures, such as watching his favorite football teams but he especially loved playing basketball with his friends. His life centered around spending time with his family; this brought him his greatest fulfillment. His greatest gift was his ability to make people laugh. At an early age he made a profession of faith and was baptized in Crittenden.

Survivors include his parents: Jamie and Sonja Campbell Russell of Florence; his sister: Tiffany (Shawn Coker) Russell; aunts and uncles: Diane (Mark) Eastham of Crittenden, Danny (Tomi) Russell; his fiancé: Kayla; a “special” niece: Kilee Coker and two nephews: Christopher Pete and Kyson. along with numerous cousins.  He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents: Raymond Cecil and Nina Marie Brown Russell; his maternal grandparents: E. J. and Sharon Campbell; an aunt: Priscilla Sumpter, uncle Keith Campbell, and a nephew: Thomas.

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, April 2, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at Williamstown Cemetery.
