Jasper "Lonnie" Wright, Jr.

Jasper "Lonnie" Wright, Jr. was born Dec. 15, 1929 in Hazard, Kentucky and passed away Jan. 1, 2019 in Macon, GA at the age of 89.  He was the son of the late Jasper "Sharky" Wright, Sr. and Ruth Shepherd Wright.

On Sept. 26, 2006, Lonnie was united in marriage to Laura Couch Harp Wright who survives.  In addition he is survived by 4 sons: Glenn Wright (Sonda) of Ludlow, Marvin A. Wright of Florence, Jerry Robert Wright (Pauline) of Williamstown and John Harp of Melburne, FL; 4 daughters: Janice Cox (Ralph) of Morning View, Melinda Harp of Warner Robbins, GA; April D. Wright (Jennifer) of Science Hill and Darlene Harp of Titusville, FL; 33 grandchildren; 37 great grandchildren; and 4 great great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by a son and daughter in law: Lonnie and Rhonda Wright.

Early in life Lonnie was a coal miner in Eastern Kentucky.  He was a long time Diesel Mechanic who loved working.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM, Monday, January 7, 2019 at Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home, Williamstown.  Visitation will be 4:00 - 8:00 PM Sunday at the funeral home.  The burial will be Tuesday at Douglas Cemetery in Jellico, TN.
