Jean Porter May, Sr.

Jean Porter May, Sr., 84, a Verona, KY, died unexpectedly Thursday March 30, 2023 at his residence, along with his wife, Charlotte.  Born on Monday January 23, 1939 in Bradfordsville, KY, he was the son of the late Samuel Byron and Marion Rawlings Lyons May.

On February 20, 1960 he was united in marriage to the former Charlotte Jeanette Raikes of Lexington. For 30 years he worked as a transmission repairman for Ford Motor Co. He enjoyed hunting, piddling around at the Korner Auto Sales in Verona, attending tractor shows/meets and rebuilding cars.

Survivors include three sons: Jean Porter (Dorothy) May. Jr., of Cincinnati, OH, Michael Patrick (Elaine) May of Bend, Oregon, Steven E. (Beth) May, Sr. of Louisville, KY; one daughter: Valerie (Kevin) Harrison of Westchester, OH, along with 12 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
