Jeanette N. Cook was born Sept. 21, 1937 in Bandy, Kentucky and passed away July 11, 2021 in Edgewood, Kentucky at the age of 83. She was the daughter of the late James and Emma Brown Stevens.
Jeanette was a homemaker and formerly worked as a server at Glen's Woodland Inn and as a clerk at TA in Richwood. She enjoyed listening to country and bluegrass music and was passionate about helping animals of all kinds. She loved spending time with and caring for her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William "Bill" Cook; a grandson, Tyler Hart; and 5 siblings Phil Stevens, Geneva "Neve" Elder, Faye Hickman, Marie "Ree" Goff and Beulah Hart.
Jeanette is survived by 2 sons: Clinton (Kim) Hart of Petersburg and Bruce (Desiree) Hart of Cincinnati; a daughter: Deborah (Jackie) Pernell of Independence; 4 sisters: Gusta "Sis" Elder of Florence, Juanita McHargue of Indianapolis, Deloris (Howard) McClure of Mt. Vernon and Shirley (Arnold) Thompson of Bandy; 5 grandchildren: Stephanie (Ed) Morris, Brittney (Drew) Frietch, Thomas Pernell, Kendall Hart, and Kaylan (Nathan) Gunn; and 6 great grandchilden: Tyler, Brayden, Tristen, Malea, Ashlyn, and Adrianna.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Thursday, July 15, 2021 at Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home, Crittenden. Visitation will be 9:00 - 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Fairview Church of Christ Cemetery in Bandy, Kentucky at 3:00 PM, Thursday. There will not be a funeral procession to the cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Grant County Animal Shelter.
