Jeanette Susan Craig

Jeanette Susan Craig, 84, of Williamstown, KY, passed away Friday May 5, 2023 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center – Edgewood. Born on Sunday October 30, 1938 in Poughkeepsie, NY, she was the daughter of the late Oscar and Hazel Mae Johnson.

In 1956 Jeanette married George Craig; he precedes her in death. She was a devoted homemaker and housewife; for many years she served as a waitress in several high-end restaurants in Newport. Traveling was one of her greatest enjoyments. Being an avid Country Music fan, she loved attending concerts and would travel many miles to those concerts. She was an ardent fan club member of Billy Ray Cyrus, Alan Jackson and especially, Marty Robbins.

Survivors include one daughter: Anita “Sis” (late Buck) Ohmer of Williamstown; three sons: George Craig of Williamstown, David (Penny) Craig of Williamstown, Danny Craig of Elsmere; one brother: Gene Johnson of New York; four sisters: Deanna, Diana, Deloris, Sonya and a very special grandson whom Jeanette raised, Christopher Lea. Twenty-two other grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren also survive. She was preceded in death by two sons: Charles Craig, Andrew Craig; a daughter: Linda Sue Craig and a brother: Earl Johnson.

Visitation will be Thursday May 11, 2023 from 12:00 noon. –2:00 p.m. at McDaniel Funeral Home in Corinth. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 with Rev. Landon Scott officiating. Interment will follow in Corinth Cemetery.
