Jesse “Butchie” P. Kollar , 73, Corinth, KY, died Saturday June 13, 2020 at V. A. Medical Center in Lexington, KY. Born on August 18, 1946 in Crawford County, OH, he was the son of the late Robert and Pearl O’dell Fisher Kollar.
On November 15, 1969, in Georgetown, KY, he was united in marriage to the former Katherine Lee Tyree; she survives. Jesse proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era; however, his time of service was spent in Germany. He was a diesel mechanic with Omni Diesel in Mansfield, OH until his retirement. Before his health began to deteriorate, he loved collecting pocket watches, fishing and aggravating people! He loved life, his family and his Lord. He had an uncanny ability to make people laugh…one of his enjoyments in life. He was a member of Spears Mill Baptist Church.
Survivors, in addition to his wife of 50 years, include: two sons: Jesse (Christina) Lewis Kollar of Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin, Cecil (Tara) E. Kollar of Corinth, KY; two brothers: Bob Kollar of Logan, New Mexico, Jim (Barb) Kollar of Loudonville, Ohio and two sisters: Viola Kollar of Mansfield, Ohio and Lona Seibert of Shelby, Ohio. Five grandchildren also survive: Rebecca Kollar, Jessica Kollar, Dominic Holder, Zarren Schmidt and Finnley Kollar, along with one great-grandson and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers: Nick Kollar and Mark Kollar and one sister: Sharon Hartge.
Visitation will be Thursday June 18, 2020 from 10:00 – 11:45 a.m. at Stanley Funeral Homes, Williamstown location. Funeral services will follow at 11:45. Burial will be in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery – North (KVC-N) with full military honors. (Please Note: These arrangements at KVC-N cannot be confirmed until Monday.
