Jimmie Ray Miller

Jimmie Ray Miller , 66, of Crittenden, KY died on January 24, 2020 at his residence after an extended illness. Born on June 25, 1953 in Owen County, KY, he was the son of the late Wilbert Coleman and Mary Emma Sturgeon Miller.

On January 13, 1973 in Grant County, Jimmie was married to the former Joyce Ann Lauderman; she survives. He worked as a machine operator, specializing as an auto mechanic with Prestolite Electric Inc. in Florence, KY. In his pastime, he loved fishing and hunting. He was a member of the Berean Baptist in Independence, KY.

Survivors, in addition to his wife of 48 years, Joyce, he is survived by a son: Jimmie Miller of Williamstown, KY; two daughters: Julie (Jeff) Garland of Crittenden, KY and Gayle Miller of Dry Ridge, KY; one brother: Wilbert (Lavina) Miller, Jr. of Price Hill, OH; two sisters: Willena Conner and Linda Jo (Bernard) Etler, both of Crittenden, KY. Eight grandchildren also survive: Samatha Miller, Christopher Miller, Brooklynn Miller, Tayler Lister, Coleman Garland, Denver Jackson IV, Joshua Jackson and Dominique Mann, along with 6 great-grandchildren: Carson Jackson, Abel Jackson, Maylin Jackson, Novelle Jackson, Gunner McQueen and Miranda Miller. He was preceded in death by two brothers: Wendell Miller and Donnie Miller and two sisters: Fannie Louise Ritchie and Ruth Beach.

Visitation will be Tuesday January 28, 2020 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m.at the Crittenden location of Stanley Funeral Homes. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday January 29, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Stanley Funeral Homes – Crittenden. Burial will follow in Hill Crest Cemetery in Dry Ridge.
