Joan Marlene Vanlandingham Kearnes

Joan Marlene Vanlandingham Kearnes was born November 22, 1943 in Covington, Kentucky and passed away August 9, 2019 at St. Elizabeth, Florence at the age of 75.  She was the daughter of the late Virgil and Mildred Roberta Gibson Vanlandingham.

Joan was a homemaker and formerly worked as a secretary for the Kentucky Department of Highways for 10 years.  She was of the United Methodist faith.  She also loved shopping and finding treasures at flea markets.

Joan was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Edwards Kearnes, in 2015.  She is survived by a daughter: Kathy Jolene Kearnes of Florence, Kentucky.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Thursday, Aug. 15, 2019 at Eckler-McDaniel Funeral Home in Dry Ridge.  Visitation will be 12:30 PM - 2:00 PM at the funeral home. Joan will be laid to rest next to her husband in the Hill Crest Cemetery.
