John William Becker, Sr.

Mr. John William Becker, Sr., a Dry Ridge resident, passed away at the St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Williamstown, KY on Monday, August 15, 2022 at the age of 83.  He was the husband of Mary Bohlinger Becker.

John was a the owner and operator of Fire and Safety Equipment Company in Louisville, KY.  He was an Air Force veteran and a member of the St. William Catholic Church in Williamstown.  He loved gardening, travelling and watching the Cincinnati Reds.  He was a woodworker and was known for his custom made walking canes.

In addition to his wife Mary, he is survived by three sons, John Becker, Jr., Jeffrey Becker, James W. Becker, three brothers, George R. Becker, Paul Becker, James Becker, four sisters, Betty Krey, Nancy Roland, Linda Raper and Barbara Scott and two grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by two brothers,  Larry and Louis and one sister Rose Marie Gorman.

Visitation will be Monday, August 22, 2022 from 10:30am-11:30am at the St. William Catholic Church.  A funeral mass will be at 11:30am at the church.  Burial will follow at the KY Veteran's Cemetery, North in Williamstown, KY.  Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
