John Terry Cunningham

John Terry Cunningham was born February 18, 1941 in McDermott, Ohio and passed away March 16, 2023 in Edgewood, Kentucky at the age of 82. He was the son of the late John William and Pearl Edna Strickland Cunningham.

John was a retired union carpenter and worked for various general contractors in the greater Cincinnati area throughout his career.  He was a 33rd Degree Mason and a Shriner. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. John always enjoyed gardening, and was affectionately known as “Farmer John”.

He is survived by two sons: John William (Kathy) Cunningham of Fire Brick, Kentucky and Glen Coles (Suzanne) Cunningham of Cincinnati, Ohio; A daughter: Terri Etta (Joe) Brown of Milford, OH; two stepdaughters: Stacy Owen of Louisville and Rachel (Andrea Hewitt) Owen of Nashville, TN; a brother: Jim (Donna) Cunningham of Rite Run, OH; a sister: Julie Cunningham of McDermott, Ohio; eight grandchildren; and eight great grand children.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM, Monday, March 20, 2023 at Hamilton-Stanley Funeral Home, Verona. Visitation will be 11 AM – 1 PM Monday, March 20, 2023 at the funeral home. Burial will be in the New Bethel Cemetery, Verona.
