John William Pinkston

John William Pinkston of Williamstown, KY was born May 21, 1932 and died at his residence on Sunday, August 4, 2024 at the age of 92 years.

He was the son of the late Carl Lee and Zora Griggs Pinkston. John was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, a retired engineer for AT&T, a member of the CWA union, and he was a member of the Dry Ridge Church of Christ. On April 17, 1960 he was united in marriage to his wife Mary Grace Noland Pinkston. In addition to his parents, John was also preceded in death by a son, Jeffery Pinkston in 1976 and a granddaughter, Jordan Elizabeth Pinkston in 1993.

Survivors are: his wife, Mary Grace Noland Pinkston of Williamstown; son, Michael (Kimberly) Pinkston of Greenville, SC; and seven grandchildren, Jeffery Gage Pinkston, Jade Alexis Pinkston, Jessica Abigail Leigh Pinkston, Emily Paige VanMeter, Lauren Colson Miller, Riley Colson Hamilton, and Courtney Colson Youngblood.

Funeral services will be at 1:00pm Monday, August 12, 2024 at the Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home Williamstown followed by burial in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North. Visitation will also be Monday 11:00am-1:00pm at the funeral home.
