John Matthew Stuedle

John Matthew Stuedle of Dry Ridge, Kentucky, passed away at his residence surrounded by his adoring family early Wednesday, March 15th, 2023 at the age of 60. He was born in Hollywood, Florida on Friday, August 10th, 1962 to the late John William and Verneda Stuedle. In addition to his parents, John is preceded in death by his beloved wife of over 30 years, Sadie Stuedle and his daughter, Katharine Higgins. He is survived by his daughter, Diana (Jim) Harrison of Sadieville, KY; his sister Joneda Stuedle of Dry Ridge, KY; his brother, Michael Stuedle of Indiana; and a close personal friend that was with him until the bitter end, Diana Colson.

Beginning his first seven years of life in Florida, it was during this time spent in the Sunshine State that John acquired his affection for the beach. Though moving away to Kentucky at a young age, he never lost his love and desire for the sunshine, sand, and his dear Miami Dolphins. He was a devoted member of the Tabernacle Baptist Church in Dry Ridge, KY, and a member of the NRA for over 20 years. John served his country in the United States Marine Corps- we thank him for his service. Following his time in the military, he spent more than 18 years of employment as a parts associate at Piles Chevrolet in Dry Ridge, KY- to him his coworkers were considered friends as well as his family. John loved his friends like his family and that is exactly what they were to him in his eyes. He was honest and outspoken- if he made a promise to you he kept it, never ever breaking it. A true jokester at heart, whether it was what came out of his mouth or the practical jokes he pulled, he always made everyone around him laugh like crazy. Even in the end, he never lost that incredible sense of humor. “A truly one of a kind man.”

John leaves a legacy of his 5 Grandchildren: Christy Chamberlin (Dry Ridge, KY), Alicia Perkins (Apollo Beach, FL), Tosha Marty (Dry Ridge, KY), Ashley Pickett (Dry Ridge, KY), Ruby Taulbee (Mt. Sterling, KY); 13 Great-Grandchildren: Jimmy (Sarah) French (Williamstown, KY), Austin French (Dry Ridge, KY), Makenzie “Sunshine” French (Dry Ridge, KY), Emma Perkins (Apollo Beach, FL), Ava Perkins (Apollo Beach, FL), Paityn Richardson (Dry Ridge, KY), Dallas Pickett (Dry Ridge, KY), Cindy, Cheyenne, Dakota, Joshua, Leah, and Lilly Taulbee- all of Mt. Sterling, KY; as well as two Great-Great-Grand Children: Liam and Callie French of Williamstown, KY. John lived for his family and friends.

A Memorial Service for John will be held at the Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home in Williamstown, KY on Sunday, March 26th, 2023. Visiting hours will be held from 2:00-4:00p.m., followed by the Memorial Service. A meal in John's honor will be held at the Tabernacle Baptist Church in Dry Ridge, the times for this will be announced at a later time.
