Johnnie Edward Evans

Johnnie Edward Evans , 62, of Dry Ridge, KY, passed away Monday December 7, 2020 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center – Fort Thomas.  Born January 4, 1958 in Grant County, he was the son of the late Paul Richard and Ella Bea Reynolds Evans.

On January 19, 1978 Johnnie was united in marriage to the former Betty Geraldine Peters; she survives. Before becoming disabled, he was a truck driver for Kentucky Motors (KOI). He loved collecting cars and collecting deer mounts but his greatest love came from loving his grandbabies, whom he affectionately loved him as “Papaw” and “Grampa”. He was a member of Williamstown Baptist Church.

Survivors in addition to his wife of almost 43 years, include one son: Jeremi Evans of Dry Ridge; five daughters: Jessica Howe of Dry Ridge, Jennifer (Greg Leffler) McCormick of Elsmere, Jo Lynn ( Garrett) Hall of Georgetown, Julie Hackney of Williamstown, Jaime (Nathan Peters) Kerr of Dry Ridge; two sisters: Teresa Bickers of Crittenden, Roselie Jackson of Erlanger. Twenty-two grandchildren also survive: Jordan, Kyle, Kadeness, Peyton, Mariah, Ella, Josh, Mikayla, Brianna, Courtney, Dawson, Aiden, Gavin, Blake, Spencer, Evan, Mateo, Emma, Isabella, Paisley and Emerson.  He was preceded in death by a brother: Paul “Rick” Evans and a granddaughter, Lillian Kerr.

Due to current COVID-19 restrictions visitation will be limited to immediate family and invited guest, however, funeral services will be live streamed on Stanley Funeral Homes Facebook page beginning at 1:00 Friday December 11, 2020.

Serving as Pallbearers are: Jeremi, Kerby, Danny, Randy Mateo and Nathan.
